Simple Past Tense 

• સાદા ભૂતકાળ માં Was  અને were ક્રિયાપદો ના રૂપો ઉપયોગ થઇ છે. 
• Example (1) :
• Affirmative : I was in Mumbai Last Year.
• Negative: I was not in Mumbai Last Year.
• Interrogative: Was I in Mumbai last Year?
• Negative Interrogative : Wasn't I in Mumbai last year?
• Positive  : Yes, I was in Mumbai Last year.
• Negative  : No, I wasn't in Mumbai last year.

• Example (2) :
• Affirmative :They went to America last month.
•  Negative: They did not go to America.
• Interrogative : Did they go to America ?
• Negative Interrogative : Didn't they go to America ?
• Positive : Yes, they went to America.
• Negative: No, they didn't go to America.
